എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനായി എന്തൊരാശ്ചര്യസ്നേഹം കർത്തൻ
ഘോരമരണം മൂലമായ് വീരനായ് കാണിച്ചു

അഗാധമാമവൻ സ്നേഹം നാവിനാൽ വർണ്ണിച്ചുകൂടാ
യേശു എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതോ അസാദ്ധ്യം വർണ്ണിപ്പാൻ

മുൾക്കിരീടം ധരിച്ചവൻ ഏറെ കഷ്ടവും ഏറ്റവൻ
എന്നും ഞാൻ ജീവിപ്പാനവൻ തൻജീവനെ വിട്ടു

സമാധാനമറ്റവനായ് സമാധാനം ഞാൻ അവനിൽ
കണ്ടെത്തിയതു വർണ്ണിപ്പാൻ എന്നാൽ അസാദ്ധ്യമേ

ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയേ ഞാൻ വാസ്തവാം സന്തോഷത്തെ
മന്നിലെ സന്തോഷമപ്പോൾ ഹീനമെന്നെണ്ണുന്നു
