പാപത്തിൻ വൻ വിഷത്തെയൊഴിപ്പാൻ
സാത്താൻ തന്നുടെ ബലമഴിപ്പാൻ
രക്ഷകൻ ഇക്ഷിതിയിൽ വന്നു
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-

യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം, മഹത്വം

കുരിശിലവൻ മരിച്ചെൻപേർക്കായ്

ആശയറ്റെൻ സ്ഥിതി താനറിഞ്ഞു
ഈശ കോപാഗ്നിയിൽ വീണെരിഞ്ഞു
വിശുദ്ധ നിണം വിയർപ്പായ്‌ തിരിഞ്ഞു
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-

തൻ മുഖപങ്കജമതിലടിച്ചു
തലയിൽ മുൾമുടിവച്ചാഞ്ഞടിച്ചു
മുതുകിനെ ഉഴുതതുപോൽ പൊടിച്ചു
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-

ക്രൂശിൽ കൈകാൽകളെ താൻ വിരിച്ചു
ക്രൂരൻമാർ ആണികൊണ്ടതിൽതറച്ചു
കൊടിയ വേദനയെനിക്കായ്‌ സഹിച്ചു
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-

ചൊരിഞ്ഞു തൻ രുധിരം എൻയാഗമായി
നുറുങ്ങിയെൻ പാപത്താലേശുവിൻ മെയ്
തകർന്നു തൻ ഹ്യദയം എൻപേർക്കായ്
യേശുവിന്നു മഹത്വം;-
